Your introduction to Medioora

Learn the essential workflows from a user's perspective. Each lesson lasts one to two minutes and demonstrates one manageable step with a concrete example.

What you will learn

  • Find your way around the workspace and create your first project and document.
  • Write, refine, find and link requirements.
  • Follow relationships in the traceability view and resolve questions through comments and reviews.
  • Specify a test, link it to a requirement and record a test run.
  • Capture a document version and export it as a PDF.

How to use this course

The videos use on-screen instructions without voice or music. Each lesson includes a learning goal, an example, a practice task and the complete video text.

All exercises use the fictional Aster learning project. Use your own learning project for practice. The testing lessons require a suitably configured test specification and a prepared device under test. Available features depend on your project configuration and licence.

Link related requirements

Connect a system requirement to its software requirement.

Prerequisite: A system requirement and a software requirement are available. Allowed relationships are configured in the project.

Example

System: visible progress indication. Software: display the progress bar after the start command.

Steps

  1. Open the system requirement
  2. Open Traceability
  3. Choose Create trace link
  4. Select an allowed software requirement
  5. Save and inspect the relationship

Exercise

Link two suitable items. Check the offered relationship; it depends on your project's configuration.

Read the video text
  1. Link related requirements. Our system requirement describes the visible feedback. A software requirement refines it.
  2. Read the relationship groups. From and To show direction. References identify related items on the same configured level.
  3. Open Add reference. In this project, System and Software Requirements share a traceability level.
  4. Find the software requirement. Find SRS-0005: Show the progress bar after the start command.
  5. Check the relationship. The picker labels it Related · reference. Already linked marks an existing connection.
  6. Verify the saved reference. The software ID is now visible under References.
  7. Follow the linked item. Use its ID to inspect the software requirement. A relationship does not copy its text.
  8. Try it yourself. Link two suitable items. Check the offered relationship; it depends on your project's configuration.

Fictional learning project. Example requirements and test values are for practising the software only.
