Your introduction to Medioora

Learn the essential workflows from a user's perspective. Each lesson lasts one to two minutes and demonstrates one manageable step with a concrete example.

What you will learn

  • Find your way around the workspace and create your first project and document.
  • Write, refine, find and link requirements.
  • Follow relationships in the traceability view and resolve questions through comments and reviews.
  • Specify a test, link it to a requirement and record a test run.
  • Capture a document version and export it as a PDF.

How to use this course

The videos use on-screen instructions without voice or music. Each lesson includes a learning goal, an example, a practice task and the complete video text.

All exercises use the fictional Aster learning project. Use your own learning project for practice. The testing lessons require a suitably configured test specification and a prepared device under test. Available features depend on your project configuration and licence.

Find your way around the workspace

Understand the project list, project navigation and working area.

Prerequisite: You are signed in to Medioora.

Example

Open the learning project and switch between Documents and Work Items.

Steps

  1. Open the workspace
  2. Select a project
  3. Inspect Project Home
  4. Distinguish Documents from Work Items

Exercise

Open your project. Visit Documents and Work Items, then return to Project Home.

Read the video text
  1. Find your way around. This course uses a fictional Aster learning project.
  2. Start with your project. The project name at the top tells you where you are working.
  3. Project Home. Use the start page to see your tasks and recently changed documents.
  4. Documents. Documents give requirements a readable structure with headings and context.
  5. Work Items. The list shows individual requirements and tests, independently of document layout.
  6. One item, several views. Open an item to inspect its description, responsibility and relationships.
  7. Try it yourself. Open your project. Visit Documents and Work Items, then return to Project Home.
