Your introduction to Medioora

Learn the essential workflows from a user's perspective. Each lesson lasts one to two minutes and demonstrates one manageable step with a concrete example.

What you will learn

  • Find your way around the workspace and create your first project and document.
  • Write, refine, find and link requirements.
  • Follow relationships in the traceability view and resolve questions through comments and reviews.
  • Specify a test, link it to a requirement and record a test run.
  • Capture a document version and export it as a PDF.

How to use this course

The videos use on-screen instructions without voice or music. Each lesson includes a learning goal, an example, a practice task and the complete video text.

All exercises use the fictional Aster learning project. Use your own learning project for practice. The testing lessons require a suitably configured test specification and a prepared device under test. Available features depend on your project configuration and licence.

Review a requirement

Assign a reviewer and understand a review decision.

Prerequisite: A permitted reviewer is available. Use the roles defined by your team in a real project.

Example

The existing permitted demo account demonstrates reviewer assignment and a sample decision.

Steps

  1. Assign a reviewer
  2. Open the review area
  3. Inspect the requirement as the assigned reviewer
  4. Record a decision and a comment where needed
  5. Distinguish pending decisions from work item status

Exercise

Assign a permitted reviewer and inspect a decision. Follow your project's review rules.

Read the video text
  1. Review a requirement. A reviewer records a decision on the item. Review decisions and item status are separate.
  2. Assign a reviewer. Choose Assign in Review & comments and select a permitted reviewer.
  3. This is a demonstration. Our existing Demo Administration account demonstrates both roles. Use your team's reviewer roles in real projects.
  4. Read Pending correctly. An assigned reviewer has not yet decided. Pending is not an approval.
  5. Check the requirement first. Is the start command explicit? Is the visible response clear? Is the one-second limit measurable?
  6. Record your decision. Use Accept or Do not accept as the assigned reviewer. Explain unresolved issues in a comment.
  7. Inspect the recorded review. The demo review now shows Accepted and appears in Activity.
  8. Check the item status separately. The requirement still shows Draft. Accepting a review does not automatically complete the workflow.
  9. Try it yourself. Assign a permitted reviewer and inspect a decision. Follow your project's review rules.

Fictional learning project. Example requirements and test values are for practising the software only.
